Dog Fouling

Dog fouling is a despicable crime blighting the whole of South Lanarkshire. The selfishness of a few dog owners is affecting the reputation of the majority of owners who faithfully pick up their dogs mess.

In Drumsagard we have received excellent co-operation from SLC Land Services who have agreed to increase the number of bins in our development. All of these bins will be suitable for dog mess so there can be no excuse.

South Lanarkshire Council have signed up to a Keep Scotland Beautiful campaign called Clean Up Scotland and will soon roll out a number of initiatives designed to tackle the dog fouling problem that is blighting our neighbourhoods.

They have increased the number of Technical Assistants (formerly dog wardens ) to 5 which will enable them to tackle more areas on request.

These notices will soon appear in problem areas and it is hoped the number provided will be well used until this dirty practice is well and truly stopped in Drumsagard.

If you spot dog owners failing to pick up there dogs mess please record the time and place then either report it to South Lanarkshire Council through there website or use fix my street by clicking on the link
