A724 Hamilton Road Closure - Update

South Lanarkshire Council has announced details about road works on the A724 Hamilton Road.
Works Details
- Location: From east of Manse Brae to Bardykes Chemicals entrance
- Timeline: Tuesday, November 12 until Sunday, November 17
Traffic Management Plan
Tuesday 12th to Friday 15th
- Road remains open with traffic signals and slow-moving convoy
Weekend (16th-17th November)
- Full road closure with signed diversion route via East Kilbride (A749 and A725)
Important Information
- Significant delays are expected
- Drivers advised to leave additional time for their journey and seek alternative routes
- Press release and direct resident notifications planned
- Electronic variable message signs will be deployed
