Hallside Primary School Poster Competition

The DVRA are pleased to announce the winners and runners up in the Hallside Primary School poster competition.  A prize giving ceremony was held on Friday 28th at the school.

The residents association are passionate about improving the facilities in our area and one of the most common complaints we receive is about dog fouling.   With so many of our neighbours keen to do something about this we decided to launch a spring clean-up campaign with posters throughout the estate to encourage dog owners to clean up after their dogs.

By highlighting this as an issue, we hope that in future the streets, pavements and play areas will be kept clean and tidy.  We asked the pupils of Hallside Primary to help us by designing the posters for our spring clean-up campaign.    Our friends at the Greenbelt Group were delighted to get involved and have kindly sponsored this competition along with the Drumsagard Trust.

When we launched the competition we never expected to receive so many amazing drawings and in total received 289 entries. All of the entries are posted onto our Drumsagard Village Facebook page so that everyone can see how artistic and enthusiastic the pupils of Hallside Primary are.

We would like to thank all of the pupils at Hallside for getting involved

Thanks to all of the teachers, especially Mr Bamford, acting deputy head teacher for helping us to organise this competition,   our special guests, Greenbelt Group, Glasgow Warriors, MPs and Councillors for coming along to make this day so special and Debbie Linton for bringing along Bow

Finally thanks to our judges at the Drumsagard Village Resident association for taking on a difficult task of choosing the winners from such great designs.

The quality of the entries were so good that we found it impossible to choose just 3 winners and so as well as having 3 overall winners whose designs will be printed for our campaign and we have chosen 2 runners up for each of the categories.
